Welcome To Detroit Football Journal
The Mission
I am driven to empower the football community through high-level, objective analysis rooted in deep research and verifiable facts. By leveraging a career background in corporate sales and acquisitions, I decode the complexities of the front office—translating free agency, roster construction, and trade dynamics into actionable insights. My goal is to bridge the gap between internal league logic and external fan engagement, providing a transparent and meaningful connection to the game.
The Journalism: Beyond the Beat
Standard beat reporting tells you what happened; my work exposes why it happened. Through the Detroit Football Journal, I bypass the daily churn of generic headlines to deliver investigative, high-impact narratives. Rooted in an uncompromising, lifelong passion for the sport, my writing is designed to capture the electricity of the game and the grueling realities of the film room. Every article, profile, and evaluation is a meticulous breakdown of real tape and real data—crafted to tell the authentic, unfiltered stories of the players, the scheme, and the front-office machinery that standard coverage misses.
Technical Architecture: TAPS & RRAM
What began decades ago as exhaustive, hand-built Excel spreadsheets tracking player stats and tendencies has evolved into a highly sophisticated evaluation process. Over the last three and a half years, I have engineered a proprietary dual-model system designed to decode NFL roster construction:
TAPS (The Athletic Prototype System): A diagnostic tool for prospect evaluation that ranks incoming talent based on NFL-ready traits, physical thresholds, and long-term career projections.
RRAM (Roster Roulette Acquisition Model): A strategic forecasting engine used to predict draft selections, free-agency movements, and the cascading impact of future veteran extensions.
The Track Record
These models are not speculative; they are verified against real-world NFL execution. Notable accuracy includes:
2025: Correctly predicted 26 of 32 first-round picks live on air and identified the Detroit Lions’ first two selections.
2024: Identified two major free-agent signings and three draft picks.
2023: Predicted the Lions’ first five selections, including the Round 1 trade with Arizona (Gibbs, Campbell, LaPorta, Branch, and Hooker).
Credentials & Development
I am committed to a “no-regrets” pursuit of the game, executing a disciplined five-year plan to transition into a formal NFL scouting role.
NFL Media Credentials: 2024–Present (Active coverage of the 2025 Draft and 2026 Combine).
UFL Credentials: 2025 Season Press Credential for the Michigan Panthers.
Content Architecture: Founder of the Detroit Football Journal, Rocked On Podcast Network.
Scouting Education: Self taught through a dedicated and rigorous schedule of film study, online scouting courses and research. The pursuit of formal scouting education will help to bridge the gap between media narrative and professional evaluation.
Purpose Beyond the Field
This is a mission built on resilience and execution. Surviving cancer in 2023 rewired my perspective: I returned to the game with a “no regrets” mandate, focused entirely on building a future that matches my dreams and leaves a lasting legacy.
Beyond the film room, I founded the Rocked On Cancer Foundation to provide annual thyroid cancer screenings. To sustain and scale this mission, I am currently developing a new line of products and services to fund these initiatives—ensuring that professional success always creates a tangible, positive impact in the community.
I am seeking to align with premier organizations that value a veteran work ethic, analytical precision, and a lifelong, uncompromising dedication to the sport from the perspective of a fan first.
Thank you for joining me and becoming the best part of this journey.
